Nestor Horacio Alderete

Nestor Horacio Alderete (1965) born in Cordoba, Argentina studied guitar with Francisco Barroso and Pablo De Giusto and composition with Nicholas Alessio and, in the National University of Cordoba, Cesar Franchisena and Vicente Moncho, among others.


He arranged and wrote incidental music for theater and dance, as well as pieces for chamber and symphony orchestras, particularly winds.  His piece for violin and winds, “Piazzoltango, Portrait I” is part of the Piles Music catalog and was nominated for the Spanish Music Awards 2008. Currently he teaches Instrumentation and Orchestration in the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba.
